Hi thanks for stopping by my WALLPAPER blog. Geez some pretty harsh comments about wallpaper from
other bloggers. I really wish they would visit not only my blog but click on my website on right side of blog. I think they will be in for a surprise on how great wallpaper really is, and how it is used in so many places today. Wallpaper today is not what grandma used to have. I really hope you don't get discouraged by what some clueless previous owner has done by way of wallpaper and decorating. I think with an open mind, knowing your vision and a lot of fun and hard work your house will be beautiful. I don't sell wallpaper online but I carry many diferent lines and can get just about anything. I would love to help you esp. if you have found something in a magazine etc. and you want it. Ugh. We're remodeling an older house, too... I decided that wallpaper should be illegal. And painting over hardwood floors? Words fail me! But it will look great when you're done!!

Vinegar, huh? I am guessing that your house has a warm and welcoming smell, somewhat like a pickle plant. I used the same on my counters and everyone loved the scent, NOT.

I agree with Lori...I'd be tempted to burn it down. I do agree that painting hardwood floors is a slap in the face of a tree.

BUT..it will be GORGEOUS when you are done. Hang in there, while you are still young, and still have a teency weency bit of energy.

I feel your pain. I grew up in a 100 year old farm house that never was complete. My parents ended up selling it. Good luck, take some B-12 for more energy your gonna need it!

Wow Kate. I am so seriously impressed with all of this remodeling work you are doing. Where in God's name do you find the time to be scraping wallpaper? What am I doing wrong? I would NEVER be able to do that - it is simply mind-blowing.

Oh gosh, but look how much you did get done too. You are that much further ahead. It is a big job there is no question but so worth it in the end. It's a shame that everyone didnt have the same test. Good taste. Can't wait to see the pictures of the final room.
