Since pinning someone to a wall is not an option, I will just continue to bottle up my anger until a totally unrelated matter goes wrong and then I’ll make sure to punch out all parties involved in said matter.
But anyway, on to something a little more productive. Since yesterday I had no internet, I was unable to fulfill my Tuesday obligation to Confessions of A Three-Year-Old. But that doesn’t mean we can’t have Confessions of A Three-Year-Old on a Wednesday. (It is Wednesday right?)

So lately some deep thoughts have been happening around here. Last week on the way to church somehow we all started talking about dying. Don’t ask me why we were talking about death but nevertheless Kaydn Rye was enlightening us with his philosophies.
He started out by telling us that he won’t die. So my husband, who always knows just what to say in a sticky situation, starts telling Kaydn Rye all about how everybody dies and yada yada yada. Kaydn Rye responds by telling hubby all about how he KNOWS everybody dies, it’s just that kids don’t die when they’re kids – they die when they’re old grandpas. So he says, “Me and uncle Jedd, we’re going to die when we’re grandpas when we get old.”
We left it at that and told him that yes, he probably will die when he’s an old grandpa.
And just the other day he started implementing Jesus into his Transformer play. When I tell him I don’t have time to play transformers he’ll say, “Well, do you think Jesus will play with me?” I usually tell him that Jesus does not try to beat other people’s transformers to a pulp with his transformers.
And just last night while we were in Wal-Mart getting our New Year’s pictures developed (yes, I'll post them tonight), he starts telling me all about how grandpa (my dad) was teasing him the last time he was over there. My dad thinks it’s great to annoy little children with his incessant taunting, but I told Kaydn Rye that the next time grandpa starts teasing him, he should tell him to shove it. And after I reminded him that that was only appropriate to say to grandpa and not anyone else, he says, while in his best Optimus Prime stance, “Yeah, he better not tease me anymore because I’ll kick his butt off.” He didn't get the concept quite right, but he gets an A for effort.
Oh, and I'll leave you today with one of our three favs from this year's annual New Years photo shoot. Do you think I'll get my New Years letter out to friends and family before February? I think I can. I think I can.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. That's what I love about Blogging....meeting new moms who are living in the trenches of day to day stuff! Love the photo shoot! Cute family...

I like how Kaydn Rye incorporates Jesus into play since his leg ache episode.. very cute
Glad you're back online. I love your posts about Kaydn. He is one wise ole' soul and makes me laugh. BTW, I think that Jesus would play Transformers with Kaydn ;)
I love your photo. What a cute family you are. It is very nice to see that you find time for church, as a lot of people are to "busy" how very sad. And thanks for stopping by my blog.

Kate, I was having the hardest time with your blog the last couple times I checked it...I'm so glad I'm able to see it now! It would show up on my page and then suddenly I'd get an error message!
I know I've said this tons of times but I always love reading the things your son says! He's such a smart little guy with a great sense of humor and such wisdom for someone so young!
Beautiful family picture!!!! You little hottie you!!
GREAT shot! (love your hair color...!) I am so glad I am not the only one who is going to send "Valentine's wishes" instead of Christmas cars :0)
Welcome back to the online world.
Is that you? You're beautiful! And so is your family. :) So this is the third or fourth time I have heard of computers messing up and how the heck do you back up a blog and how do you save you work? I got a USB port. Is that enough? I'm Ms. Technical Don't Know How.
Hey Kate - beautiful pic of you and your family. Love it. It's always nice to get an updated pic behind the voice that I've grown to know a bit.
Those death chats are so tough. I remember the first time CR started asking about death, she said "Am I going to die Mommy?" And I started CRYING! Yeah, I'm all freaky and emotional about that stuff....and I actually lied and said NO! What a loser! Anyway - it's been a little while since then and we've updated our death view especially since she's been to two funerals and seen dead people so anyway --- hopefully she won't remember that I lied to her. :-)
LOL on the "shove it" to Grandpa ... holy crap, my father would die of shock if my girls said that!
Wonderful photo of you guys! As soon as I can photoshop 30 pounds off of me, I'll post a family photo of us.
I really enjoy your confessions of a three year old posts.
