BLOG PARTY - HOSTED BY ME!!!!!!

'Enjoy yourself at the party' - featuring Lennie Holmes, Margie Mills, Ray Treloar, Maurie Service, The Joy Boys and The Joy Belles

I am ennobled and honored to announce the arrival of my very own Blog Re-Launch Party held in tribute to my brand new site, which went live earlier in the week. As you can see, we have a great new design, tons of brand new features on the menu bar and a few more new features still yet to come.

In honor of this most auspicious occasion, I am hosting my very own blog party, which will be held this coming Monday October 13th through Wednesday the 15th.

Here's a complete list of events.....

Monday - Giveaway from Planet Mom T-shirts.com
Donation to Heifer International

Tuesday - Guest Blogger Kerri Pomarolli
Giveaway from c28.com

Wednesday - Giveaway from LTDdchix.com/

Here's a full description of all the festivities.

Monday morning kicks off with a bang with a giveaway from Planet Mom t-shirts.

Their apparel has been featured on "The View," "Fox and Friends," PerezHilton.com" and "Today." They also have a celebrity following (I know, these guys are the big time aren't they) and you could be in the same clique as Cindy Crawford, Brooke Shields and Cynthia Nixon.

Later on in the day will be dedicated to Heifer International. This organization is amazing. Heifer donations and volunteers give the gift of both livestock and training to alleviate hunger and poverty and teach self reliance. These people strive to end world hunger by giving to giving to families who would otherwise probably be without food, the gift of livestock and the training required to teach them how to grow and raise sustainable agriculture for their families. The donors also have an opportunity to give back by donating livestock to another needy family. The chain of giving is extremely important to Heifer International.

On their site, Heifer.org, it states that in 2007 Heifer International had 867 active projects in 53 countries/provinces and 28 U.S. states. Heifer projects around the world help families achieve self-reliance through the gift of livestock and training. Gifts are passed from recipient to recipient until entire communities are transformed.

I remember hearing something from Joyce Meyer as she was talking about all the ministry projects she has lead, and she said something like, "You can go and minister the love of Jesus to people, but if they are starving, they need to eat. They first need their basic needs met. Instead of preaching to them all day, give them something to eat, give them shelter, meet their basic needs, that is what shows them the love of Jesus."

I just think that is one of the most profound statements I have ever heard, and while Heifer International is not affiliated with any specific ministry, I believe in their mission of ending world hunger by gifts of livestock and teaching. I believe in their mission so much that it wasn't too long ago that I realized I was being led to possibly take part in one of their study tours to really become involved in a project that will forever change lives. I'm still waiting on G-d to make that happen, maybe next year, but in the mean time, I am donating to their cause.

Heifer International's "online catalog" is probably unlke anything you've ever seen before. There you can add to your cart a flock of geese, a heifer, a water buffalo, a pig, a sheep, trees, a goat, all to be donated to a family who will soon experience a life changing experience through Heifer International.

Starting with this post and continuing with Monday's official post on Heifer International, for every comment received, I will donate $1.00 to go towards the purchase of a sheep, which will provide wool and meat for a family to use to feed their bellies, keep them warm in the winter, and to use as an income source. The cost of one sheep is $120.00. Please help me make this happen! The comment-donation project will continue with Monday's official Heifer International post, which will go into more detail about Heifer International and what you can do to help.

With that being said, let's move on to Tuesday...

I am also very excited to announce that on Tuesday I will hosting guest-blogger Kerrie Pomarolli, one of America's leading clean, female comediannes. kerripom_09sm She calls her comedy "clean comedy" and she is an accomplished author and actress as well. I still can't believe she agreed to guest blog here on my site!

She will be guest blogging, and in addition, c28.com has agreed to join the fun and will give away a gift certificate towards a $20 purchase of your choice on their site. C28, in case you don't know, is the source for bold christian gifts, christian t-shirts, clothing, hoodies, and jewelry
Not your typical Christian T-shirt store, C28 is a Christian store chain, offering an alternative to the mainstream mall stores. This is one one of my favorites there.

Their stuff is the bomb!

And last but not least, we are going out with a bang on Wednesday with a great giveaway from LTDchix.com. They have some seriously hilarious t-shirts that every mom can appreciate, like their mini van t-shirt....

THIS IS IMPORTANT!!!!

Now, official rules for the giveaways will be posted on Monday, but, by helping me spread the word you can increase your chances of winning by earning an additional entry into the contest of your choice.

You can earn an additional entry by twittering the event, by posting my badge on your site, by subscribing to my feed, by blogging about the event on your site, by stumbling this post, by simply spreading the word. Do any one (or two, or three, or four) of these things, then comment back letting me know what you did and which contest you'd like your additional entry to go towards, and you will receive an extra entry into the contest of your choice. Remember, each reader's comments on this post will also go towards a donation to Heifer International. So Happy Commenting and....

Hey Kate! Yeah, throw a dollar in for my comment! As I read your comment about love, I thought of Isaiah 58 where God talks about the fast He desires...good stuff.

Congrats on your "new" blog! It looks great!
